Within the context of the tpc transfer to SRF, SWISS TXT has taken over tpc streaminghouse activities as of 1 January 2020, thus reinforcing its position as competence centre for SRG’s ICT, digital, distribution and access services.

Accessible Live streams for the Grand Council of the Canton of Geneva
Biel and Geneva, 04.03.2020. In January 2020, the Grand Council of the Canton of Geneva started to broadcast - as the first canton of Switzerland - its sessions live on the Internet with subtitles and sign language. By doing so, it complies with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in terms of barrier-free accessibility to audiovisual content. As a subsidiary of SRG SSR, SWISS TXT AG is in charge of the production of subtitles and sign language as well as of the implementation of the required video player.

SWISS TXT is developing a new version of its video delivery platform for event organisers, media enterprises and TV stations. The European Commission is supporting the three-year project. The new video content exchange platform will promote quality journalism, and allow the public to get involved via social media connectors.

from DVD to streaming
The J. S. Bach foundation has set itself a big mission: to perform all the vocal works of Johann Sebastian Bach and to film the performances in order to provide posterity with a better understanding of the great composer. The mission is going well because social media channels love good audiovisual content. It is also being financed through the sale of the recordings on DVD. Until September 2015. Then the J.S. Bach-Foundation went online with its VoD platform. What was achieved?

The "Digital Best Practices in Switzerland" customer event took place at the Impact Hub in Zurich on 20 May 2015. Speakers from FIFA, Swisscom TV and the Laterpay startup presented specific case examples explaining how to move towards digital transformation. Delegates had an opportunity to meet and chat at the subsequent dinner and drinks reception.
