ACCESSIBLE Online events
SWISS TXT offers various options and tools for making online events linguistically accessible.
The LiveAccess platform was developed on request from various target groups and enables live transcription of events by online speech-to-text reporters. That makes it easy for people to follow the spoken content of events by reading along.
LiveAccess also allows for a (multilingual) live stream to be embedded, so that the live text can be directly incorporated in the video or shown in a separate link.
The platform therefore both ensures barrier-free access to online events for people with sensory disabilities and also overcomes linguistic hurdles through the use of human or machine translation.
Furthermore, the innovative LiveAccess desktop app makes it very easy to use SWISS TXT services for live transcription and live translation into multiple languages in online meetings. It is compatible with all meeting platforms and desktop applications.
The E-Accessibility symposium on 17.11.2022 was conducted completely barrier-free.
Sign language interpreters, speakers and our online tool "LiveAccess" were used.
In the recorded video contributions you can see how this was presented live online.

FIRST LIVEACCESS EVENT IN TICINO
On Saturday 30 September a training day on cochlear implants, organised by the association ATiDU, was held in Bellinzona. We were contacted to provide the LiveAccess service, because it would be the only way for some of the hearing-impaired attendees to follow the conference. We were delighted to receive this invitation and organised all the necessary work.
