ACCESS SERVICES BY SWISS TXT
ADDED VALUE FOR VIDEOS THROUGH INDEXING AND ACCESS SERVICES

With the aid of subtitles, transcriptions, translations, audio descriptions and live services, you offer your users extended access to your video content. Videos become searchable, both internally and on the web. This improves your search-engine rankings, and gives people with a sensory handicap access to your audiovisual content.

SWISS TXT looks after these tasks for you. Our four services:

AUTOMATIC LANGUAGE IDENTIFICATION (ALI) WITH SYNTHETIC TRANSCRIPTION

With ALI, a highly efficient, tried-and-tested automatic language-identification system, every spoken word can be quickly transformed into text. The output can be displayed on the video with the Kaltura Player and manually revised. SWISS TXT achieves accuracy for ALI of 95% in German, French and Italian.

LANGUAGE IDENTIFICATION BASED ON RESPEAKING

Language identification adapted to a respeaker and with restricted subject coverage enable accuracy to be substantially increased. Accuracy in German, French and Italian is 100%.

LIVE: INSTANT CONTENT AVAILABILITY

This was developed for lectures and events that are broadcast live and use simultaneous translations, when reaction time to publication is the most important factor. There is a booking system enabling the service to be reserved in advance, and it makes content available immediately.

AUDIO DESCRIPTION OF VIDEO CONTENT Metadata and video library transcripts

Without an audio description, multimedia content is difficult for the blind and visually impaired to follow – or even impossible. The audio description uses pauses in the dialogue to describe what's happening in the video.
