New product video for 5GMediaHUB

This research project is focused on the 5G-based distribution of media content for broadcasters. As part of its communication mandate, the Communication & PR department has made a first product video to introduce the project in a simple way.

The data traffic of broadcasters for the IP streaming of audio and video content has mushroomed in recent years. UHD and HDR video streaming already requires very high bandwidths of over 40 Mbit/s these days. With future 5G technology, 8K video streams will place even greater, enormous demands on broadcasters.

SWISS TXT is involved in this project and tests the provision (CDN & streaming) of VOD and live content for mobile use up to 8K. The Communication & PR department implements activities such as product videos as part of its communication mandate.
